It's a Harry Potter Birthday

My daughter Kristen threw a party for my oldest grandson, Eamon Saturday.  The house was decorated in a Harry Potter theme.  I took a few photos of the decorations before the party began.  It was quite impressive.

Entry was thru 9 3/4 Cedarwood Creek Court.

A Great Day on Shackleford Banks

We took the boat out to Shackleford while on vacation. The weather was perfect. We found a great place to anchor the boat and we all waded ashore.

Mangum Family Beach Vacation

This annual event is always lots of fun. Our children and grand children were all born in or near August. We celebrate Birthdays while on vacation. Kristen, Lindsay, Eamon and Brendan all had their special day. Here are the pictures to prove it.

Speckled Trout

Caught two nice trout this morning. Since I am trying to loose weight, I used some special spices, wrapped in foil and put them on the grill.

The results are shown below. The taste was outstanding.

Fort Macon Reenactment

Following are photos of the reenactment on Saturday, April 21,2012. This was a big reenactment of the capture of Fort Macon by the Union troops that took place 150 years ago.

A friend and I just happened to drive to the fort and discovered that all of this was taking place. It was a pleasant surprise. We had a nice day.

Spent most of the time in Morehead City area. The weather was too cool to take the boat out but we found plenty to do.
