This blog has been established for the classmates of the 1963 Angier High School Senior Class. Postings are mostly about me and my family, but blogs about fellow classmates are included when information is available. Classmates are encouraged to contribute and asked to contact me to share items of interest. Contact Franklin Mangum at mangumf@aol.com regarding postings.

Three in Front of Teacherage
This photograph was taken in the front yard of the old school with the teacherage in the background.
Berti Day on the left and Sue Owen on the right. Is that Bill Banks in the middle? The date at the top of the photograph indicates December, 1958. |

Crawford's Market
Does anyone remember going into Crawford's Market and buying a pack of baseball cards or maybe a nickel grab bag.

The Market is long gone. It stood about midway the block between Talton's Drug Store and Byrd's Hardware. |

Mr. Crawford and his wife were always nice to me and I very much looked forward visiting their store. |

If you were lucky, you might look across Broad street and see the old Durham and Southern steam locomotive going through town. |

The Class Reunion at Tony's 2009
Following is the best group photograph I have of our last class reunion.
It was a good turnout. I counted 35 in the photograph. |

Some Not-So-Old Photographs of Classmates

I think we had a handsome class in 1963 and I think we have only gotten better with age. If you have any objections to seeing your picture on this blog, let me know. If you enjoy seeing your fellow classmates Before and After, I will continue the postings. If I don't get some feedback, I will assume that no one is watching the blog.

Do You Remember these Class Facts?
How many of the following facts could you remember after 50 years? I have to admit that didn't remember any of them.
