We got lucky with the weather and had a great reuion.  Tony Mangum was nice enough to offer his facilities for the event. 

 

Interesting Facts About Our Class

There were 50 classmates that graduated from Angier High in 1963.

Female: 21
Male: 29
43 % female for our class.
The current US population is 50.9% female.

There are 40 living classmates today.

Female: 16
Male: 24

Of the 40 remaining classmates, 33 live in North Carolina.  The breakdown is as follows.

33    North Carolina
1      South Carolina
2      Mississippi
1      Florida
1      Virginia
1      Texas
1      Georgia

Of the 40 living classmates, 15 (37%) have Angier mailing addresses. Another 17 live within 50 miles of Angier. We have 32 (80%) out of 40 living in this area.

35 of the 40 classmates have email addresses.

40 of the 40 classmates have received Save-the-Date cards for the Reunion.  100% of the classmates will receive invitations this week.
 
I'm expecting a big turnout. Hope you will be there.

Number One Song of 1963

How many of you can name the number one sone of 1963?  I know that I couldn't so I looked it up on the internet.  According to Billboard it was "The Sugar Shack" by Jimmy Gilmer. 

 

 

Reunion Planning

The final planning meeting for the 50th Class Reunion was held this Thursday and everything seems to be falling in place.  The invitations were reviewed and finalized.  Hopefully they will be mailed Monday, March 4.

Johnny Mangum has already got the banner and brought it to the meeting for all to see.  The banner is in the blue and white class colors, of course.
