Barbara's Reunion Pictures

After considerable effort, Barbara got these pictures to me over the Internet. I won't bother to explain who is in the pictures. If you don't know by now, you are ready for the rest home.   I think these were all taken at my house. I think she has more from Saturday night that I will post later. 

  

By the way, the small yellow and red thing on the pie stand behind Barbara is a whirlygig. It was made by Vollis Simpson of Lacama, NC. Vollis is a well known folk artist with whirligigs in many folk art museums around the country. The city of Wilson has built a whirlygig park in his honor and State of North Carolina has named the whirlygig the official folk art. 

We met Vollis a couple of years ago when we purchased the little whirlygig. He passed away last week at the age of 94.  See following link.
