Wind Damage on Montague Road

We had strong winds at my house on Montague Road in Angier Thursday afternoon. Becky was at home at the time and called me in Morehead City to say that some of the furniture on the back porch had been blown around. She said that the wind only lasted a few seconds and it was gone. She did not see any damage to our home or property.  She also mentioned that the power was out.

She later got in the car and drove down the street to find significant damage at my uncle John Montague's house across the street.  These are very large old oak trees that played under as a child.

My cousin Gene  and his wife live here now.

My nextdoor neighbor, Mack Fowler, also had a couple of trees blown down.

We were very lucky!
