James Bond

Ian Fleming wrote 25 books in the James Bond series. The first book was Casino Royale published in April, 1953 and the last, Diamonds are Forever, published in March of 1964. Not all of the books became movies. 

Can you name the first James Bond movie shown in America?  Most people think it was Goldfinger. Wrong. It was Dr. No which came out in 1962. Goldfinger came out in 1964.

I have read many of the books and saw most of the movies that stared Sean Connery. I did not care for the other stars and therefore have seen few movies that did not star Connery. My alltime favorite was Goldfinger. It made quite an impression on a young 19 year old, especially Honor Blackman who played Miss Galore.
