Motel 6 Salad

Everyone has heard of a Waldorf Salad.

"The salad was first created between 1893 and 1896 at the Waldorf Hotel in New York City (the precursor of the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel, which came into being with the merger of the Waldorf with the adjacent Astoria Hotel, opened in 1897).[2]"

Recipe:
Waldorf salad is a salad traditionally made of fresh applescelery and walnuts, dressed in mayonnaise, and usually served on a bed of lettuce as an appetizer or a light meal.[1]

Since we have had an abundance of apples and pears this year and pecans from last fall, I asked Becky to make us a salad using these ingredients. The only thing we had to buy was mayonnaise, celery and grapes. Pretty cheap, but delicious. We call it the Motel 6 Salad
